Residents planning electives are asked to plan in advance and give thought to the rationale for the elective – e.g. where the elective fits in their training, how it will add to their experience and education. The Program Director is always available to discuss elective options as are the rest of the teaching faculty.
Please Note: The Elective Proposal Form must be filled in and be signed by the Elective Supervisor as well as the UWO Otolaryngology Program Director before the elective can be considered approved.

Development of objectives need not be an onerous task. One suggestion is to simply identify the key points/concepts or skills that will be encountered as part of the elective. These will form the backbone for your learning objectives.
