Evaluation of Residents
Tue, 07/22/2008 - 11:44 — Admin
- Each resident will review his/her performance with the hospital Chief at the end of each rotation or each quarter – this is a written report.
- It is recommended that in addition to the published rotation-specific objectives, the resident meets with the rotation supervisor at the beginning and part-way through the rotation to go over any additional objectives that the resident may wish to address.
- Each resident in December/January of each year will take written and oral examinations
- Ongoing performance evaluations of a less formal nature will occur throughout the year.
- All PGY2 residents will write the Principles of Surgery examination (usually in the Spring of the PGY2 year).
